Personal experience brings insights and empathy:
Dr. Isaacs has experienced sounding like that freight train running through the bedroom each night while he searched for a solution to his snoring.
Six years ago he found a solution—an oral appliance. After trying many types of appliances and studying everything about snoring, he is now enjoying silent nights!
Early on Dr. Isaacs tried multiple over the counter appliance options, and found nothing but frustration… over the past 6 years he has been wearing the custom fabricated appliances and getting great results!
Dr. Isaacs continues to personally try the various oral appliances and uses these experiences along with his formal dental sleep training to help him come up with the best custom oral appliances for his patients who have sleep disordered breathing. His scores from the Snore Lab App (an App download) he uses each night give him objective feedback on the effectiveness of the different appliances.
Dr. David Isaacs graduated from Indiana University. He has practiced for over 30 years and has been in his current location on the Northwest side of Indianapolis (86th & Zionsville Road) for more than a decade. In his own words: “Over the years I have seen the toll that snoring and untreated Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) has taken on my patients, family, and friends. In 2020, I decided I wanted to be part of the solution for addressing this epidemic so I began my studies in Dental Sleep Medicine.
In 2021, I added Sleep Better Indy to my ongoing dental practice. My training includes:
Our mission at Sleep Better Indy is to decrease the toll of untreated sleep apnea and snoring. We do this by increasing awareness of the problems and consequences and by facilitating the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of these problems. My work in Dental Sleep Medicine includes:
Dental Oral Appliances are proven to be effective in treating mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea and snoring and should be offered to those who prefer an alternative therapy over CPAP therapy. Oral Appliances can also successfully treat severe OSA for those who cannot tolerate CPAP therapy. At Sleep Better Indy, we use a variety of high-quality oral appliances designed to meet your unique needs.
